Fulcrum Forge has had a strong partnership with Logical Operations for over a decade. They turn to us to design and develop their high-end, complex cloud, data analysis, and technology courses.
We were happy to work with them on a fourth revision of their signature SharePoint series in 2019. Over the course of our needs analysis we determined that basing the course on the on-premises version of SharePoint would not accurately represent key SharePoint and Office connectivity and integration features available in SharePoint Online.
Solving for Two Needs
We stated the problem and did the research. We found that SharePoint online was looking at a growing wave of adoption, while SharePoint on-premises faced a declining user base. At the same time Logical Operations polled their training partners to get their perspective. They wanted SharePoint Online, but wanted the option to run it locally. We solved for both by designing a course that is built to showcase the full functionality and features of SharePoint Online, and containing setup and instructor notes that allow trainers to run the same course with SharePoint on-premises.
